Algerian female boxer Imane Khelif, who won the Olympic title at the Paris Games in the 66 kg category, has filed a complaint with the Paris prosecutor's office, calling for a criminal investigation into the online bullying she has faced, reports Arab News.

Imane Khelif, who was disqualified at the 2023 World Championships for failing a gender test and having elevated testosterone levels, is convinced that there was a coordinated campaign against her during the Paris Games. "Imane Khelif has decided to begin a new fight for justice, dignity, and honor. The investigation will reveal who was behind the misogynistic, racist, and sexist campaign and punish those involved. The harassment of Imane Khelif will remain the biggest stain on these Olympic Games," said Imane Khelif's lawyer, Nabil Boudin. Khelif defeated China's Yang Liu in the final, becoming the first Algerian Olympic champion in women's boxing.
