Paris 2024: Artur Aleksanyan and Malkhas Amoyan's opponents in the semifinals
15:58 6 August, 2024In the evening, at 20:15 Yerevan time, the semifinals of Greco-Roman wrestling of the Olympic Games Paris-2024 will start in the Champ-de-Mars in Paris.
Artur Aleksanyan (97 kg) and Malkhas Amoyan (77 kg) from Armenia will fight for a ticket to the finals.
Gold, silver and bronze medalist of the Olympic Games, four-time world champion, seven-time European champion Artur Aleksanyan will compete in the semifinals against Gabriel Alejandro Rosillo Kindelan of Cuba, world champion, Pan American Games champion, winner of the Pan American Championships.
Artur Aleksanyan won two matches in Paris. In the 1/8 finals he won 9:0 against Shinjun Kim of Korea, and in the quarterfinals he won 9:5 against Rustam Assakalov of Uzbekistan.
World champion, three-time European champion Malkhas Amoyan will fight Japanese Nao Kusaka, bronze medalist of the World Championship and Asian champion, in the semifinals of the 77 kg category.
