Russia wins its first medal at Paris 2024

Russia won its first medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.

In the Women's Doubles tennis final, Mirra Andreeva and Diana Shnaider faced with Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini (Italy) and lost in three sets: 6:2, 1:6, 7:10.

Italy won its first ever Olympic title in tennis.

Due to the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, Russian athletes compete only in individual competitions, in a neutral status, and without their national flag and mentioning of the name of their country.
