Paris 2024: Japan is total medal count current leader, with 6 gold

After the third day of the Paris Olympic Games, Japan leads the overall medal tally, having won 6 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

The Japanese have won two gold medals each in judo and skateboarding, and one gold medal each in fencing and artistic gymnastics.

France is in second place with 5 gold, 8 silver, and 3 bronze medals.

And China rounds up the top three with 5 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
