Katusha team second in Volta a Catalunya

Columbian cyclist Rigoberto Uran on Thursday won the fourth round of the Volta a Catalunya bicycle race held in Spain.

Uran timed his sprint to perfection and was ahead of Katusha’s leader Denis Menchov.

The top three closed Sylvester Szmyd, rider of Liquigas-Cannondale, L`Equipe reports.

Swiss Michael Albasini leads the general classification after winning two starting rounds.

Volta a Catalunya (7 rounds), Round 4, Thursday

1. Rigoberto Uran (Columbia, Sky) - 5 h. 13 min. 12 sec.

2. Denis Menchov (Russia, Katusha) – the same time

3. Sylvester Szmyd (Poland, Liquigas-Cannondale) - the same time
