Euro 2024: Italy draw with Croatia and are in playoffs, Spain beat Albania

The third—and final—matches in Group B were played in the group stage of UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany.

Having already qualified for the Round of 16 in the previous round, Spain defeated Albania 1-0 and finished first, with 9 points, in this group. 

Barcelona forward Ferran Torres scored the game’s only goal in the 13th minute,.

In the other match, Croatia missed the victory in the last seconds of their game against the current European champions, Italy. They played a 1-1 draw.

Star midfielder of Real Madrid Luka Modric scored for Croatians in the 55th minute. And Lazio forward Mattia Zaccagni scored the equalizing goal for Italy in the 8th minute of added time.

Italy took the second place, with 4 points, in Group B and reached the Round of 16 where they will face Switzerland.
Croatia finished third, with 2 points, and lost the chance to make it to the playoffs.

Albania took the last place, with just 1 point, and also are out.

Italy had beaten Albania 2-1 in the first round, but lost to Spain 0-1 in the second round.

Croatia had lost 0-3 to Spain in the first round, and they had played a 2-2 draw with Albania in the second round.
