World Chess Federation Candidates Tournament: Only draws recorded in 1st round

The World Chess Federation (FIDE) Candidates Tournament 2024 kicked off in Toronto, Canada.

All matches in the first round ended in ties.

The respective pairings were as follows:

Fabiano Caruana (USA) vs. Hikaru Nakamura (USA)

Alireza Firouzja (France) vs. Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa (India)

Dommaraju Gukesh (India) vs. Vidit Gujrathi (India)

Nijat Abasov (Azerbaijan) vs. Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia)

The winner will contest the title with the reigning champion, Ding Liren (China).
