Miami Open: Elina Avanesyan is out

World No. 65 Elina Avanesyan (Russia) could not make it to the Round of 16 in the women’s competition at the Miami Open.

In the Round of 32, the Russian Armenian tennis player faced world No. 53 Danielle Collins (USA), who won the match in two sets—6:1, 6:2.

Collins' opponent in the Round of 16 will be world No. 24 Sorana Cirstea (Romania).

The prize fund of the Miami Open is $8.9 million.
