Thanks to the Karen Khachanov vs. Andrey Rublev charity match that took place last week in Glendale, USA, more than 100 thousand dollars were donated, which will be allocated to the forcibly displaced Armenians of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Muscovite Armenian Karen Khachanov, the world No. 16-ranked tennis player, made a posted about it on Instagram.

“Last saturday we again held a charity match with my participation in support of Armenia and Artsakh people. This year we managed to raise more than $100,000.

I would like to thank everyone who participated in this event. In particular, my good friend kind-hearted [Russian tennis player] Andrey Rublev, who did not remain indifferent, the organizers Homenetmen Glendale Ararat club represented by Eric Esrailian and also my sponsors Wilson and Nike, who in the shortest possible time were able to send more than 100 rackets and uniforms for children.

My journey in helping Armenia and the people of Artsakh is at the very beginning but I hope that even these small steps will lead to favorable changes in the near future,” wrote Khachanov, and posted some photos from this charity event.
