FC Barcelona will break tradition (PHOTO)
13:08 16 November, 2012Spanish La Liga’s 21-time champion FC Barcelona has reached a decision with respect to its new sponsor.
As a result, Qatar Airways will become the Catalan football giant’s sponsor as of next season and the airline company’s symbol will be placed on the club uniform, El Mundo Deportivo reports.
This is the first time when the advertisement of a commercial company will be placed on Barça’s uniform. The Catalan club’s management had stated on numerous occasions that FC Barcelona belongs to the world.
To note, the Qatar Foundation’s symbol is on the current uniform of the team.
