Redknapp: I'd love to see Gerrard at Liverpool

Harry Redknapp, former head coach of London Tottenham, the 77-year-old Englishman has mentioned who he would like to see as Liverpool's head coach after the departure of German Jurgen Klopp.

"I will nominate a candidate, and people will think I am crazy, but I would nominate Steven Gerrard. He has a passion for the game. I've often listened to his words and comments, and I've always thought he could be a great professional. I would like to see him manage Liverpool," Redknapp is quoted as saying in the Liverpool Echo.

In January this year, Jurgen Klopp announced that he would leave his post in the summer and would not be involved in coaching for a year.

Gerrard, 43, in 2023. he has been in charge of the Saudi newspaper Al-Itifaq since July.
