Armenian boxers kicked off Olympic ranking tournament with victory
17:31 4 March, 2024Armenian boxers started with a victory at the Olympic ranking tournament in Italy.
Artur Bazeyan (57kg) and Rafael Hovhannisyan (80kg) entered the ring in the first round of the day.
Bazeyan scored a 5-0 victory over Swiss Seifedin Letaif, while Hovhannisyan defeated Canadian Keven Beasejour 5-0, the BBF Facebook page reported.
In the next fight, Artur Bazeyan will fight Puerto Rican Jose Tirado, while Rafael Hovhannisyan will face Belgian Noah Hadjit.
Tonight, Tatevik Khachatryan will have his first fight in the 54kg category. The opponent is Denise Bravo from Chile.
