La Liga: Girona lose unexpectedly

Girona were hosted by Mallorca and suffered an unexpected defeat, by a score of 0-1, in the 27th round of the Spanish La Liga.

The only goal was scored by Mallorca's Spanish midfielder Jose Copete, in the 33rd minute.

Girona are second, with 59 points, in the current La Liga standings, and 7 points behind the leaders, Real Madrid. Mallorca are fifteenth, with 27 points.
