European Weightlifting Championships: 17 Armenian weightlifters will take the stage
16:10 10 February, 2024On February 12-20, the European Weightlifting Championships will be held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, which is a ranking event for the Olympic Games in Paris.
The Armenian men's and women's national teams will take part in the European Championships with 17 weightlifters.
The men's team will include Gor Sahakyan (67 kg), Rafik Harutyunyan (81 kg), Andranik Karapetyan (89 kg), David Hovhannisyan (96 kg), Hakob Mkrtchyan (96 kg), Garik Karapetyan (102 kg), Samvel Gasparyan. (102 kg), Petros Petrosyan (109 kg), Varazdat Lalayan (+109 kg), Simon Martirosyan (+109 kg). Alternates: Garnik Chaloyan (61 kg) and Ara Aghanyan (96 kg).
Alexandra Grigoryan (55 kg), Isabela Yailian (55 kg), Tatev Hakobyan (81 kg), Liana Gyurjyan (81 kg) and Hripsime Khurshudyan (87 kg) will compete in the women's team.
