Artur Sahakyan started the Strandzha tournament with a victory
14:46 5 February, 2024The Armenian national team started with a victory at the prestigious Strandzha boxing tournament in Bulgaria.
On the first day of the competition, Armenia's champion in the 60 kg weight category Artur Sahakyan faced Timur Babashko, representing Ukraine, and won with a score of 4:1.
The first two rounds were quite difficult for Sahakyan, but in the third round the Armenian boxer had a big advantage, BBF Facebook page reported.
Armenia is represented by 4 boxers at the Strandja tournament. Aren Aslamazyan (51 kg), David Egorian (54 kg) and Aghvan Aleksanyan (80 kg) will also take to the ring in Bulgaria.
