Junior World Boxing Championships: Argishti Hakobyan wins Armenia's 3rd gold medal

The third gold medal of Team Armenian was won by Argishti Hakobyan at the IBA Junior World Boxing Championships, which is nearing the end in Yerevan.

In the finals of the 60kg category, Hakobyan defeated Ivan Sinyak (Belarus). 

Earlier, the second gold medal of Armenia in this championship was won in the 50kg category by Tigran Hovsepyan, who defeated Angel Yankov Dimitrov Bulgaria) with a score of 5-0.

In the girls’ 48kg category, Heghine Petrosyan lost to Payal Sharma (India) in the final. In the boys’ competition, Arno Darchinyan (46 kg) and Andranik Martirosyan (60 kg) also won silver medals.

On the first day of the finals, Vagharshak Keyan (48 kg) had won gold, and Aren Kharatyan (52 kg) and Samvel Siramargyan (70 kg) became silver medalists.

Armenia has another participant in the final, as Albert Harutyunyan will face Sahil Sahil (India) in the 75kg category.
