Armenia’s weightlifters win 6 medals in Israel
11:44 12 November, 2012Armenia’s national brought six medals from the World University Weightlifting Championship held in Eilat, Israel.
Armenia was represented by 8-member team headed by Poghos Poghosyan. Hayk Hakobyan won silver medal lifting 402 kilos. In the category of 94 kg , Vardan Davtayn won silver as well.
Earlier Armenia’s Samvel Grigoryan won silver in the category of 77 kg and Aghasi Aghasyan in the category of 80 kg.
Armenians also won two bronze medals: Smbat Margaryan in the category of 56 kg and Vanik Avetisyan – in the category of 69 kg.
