Italian Serie A football league’s Genoa vs. Napoli match has been called off due to flood warnings, as the City of Genoa is in lockdown over an approaching storm linked to Hurricane Sandy. The match was slated for Sunday.

Genoa Mayor Marco Doria has ordered a lockdown and partial evacuation.

All city schools, museums, parks, graveyards, underpasses, and sporting structures will be closed, as this storm is thought to be a knock-on effect from the Sandy “superstorm” that devastated America’s east coast, Football Italia reports.
