WTA: Elina Avanesyan climbs to world No. 80

Elina Avanesyan (Russia) has climbed from 134th place to 80th spot in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) world rankings. 

The 20-year-old Russian Armenian athlete had reached the fourth round at the French Open (Roland-Garros) and lost to Karolina Muchova (Czech Republic).

The current leader of the WTA world rankings is still Iga Swiatek (Poland), who had defended her women's French Open title.
