Mkhitaryan becomes first Armenia footballer to reach Champions League final

Inter Milan midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan became the first football player from Armenia to reach the UEFA Champions League final.

The former captain of the Armenian national team was in the starting lineup of Inter in the second leg of their semifinals against Milan, but he got injured in the last minutes of the first half and was subbed off.

He had scored a goal in the first leg, as Inter had won 2-0. In the second leg, they won 1-0.

As reported earlier, Inter will play in the Champions League final for the sixth time 

The last time the team had reached the final of this tournament was in 2010 and won the cup, beating Bayern Munich in the final with a score of 2-0.

Inter have won this main European cup tournament title in 1964 and 1965, too. And they had lost in the finals in 1967 and 1972.
