PSG lead the current Ligue 1 standings, with 78 points, and are 6 points ahead of Lens, who are second. Troyes are penultimate, with 22 points.
Lionel Messi, the 35-year-old captain and forward of reigning World Cup champion Argentina, has been penalized by PSG for making a business visit to Saudi Arabia without the club's permission, and therefore he was not on the PSG roster for the aforesaid match.
