I didn’t want to restore Sargsyan surname – Armenian international footballer
12:36 1 November, 2012NIZHNY NOVGOROD. – Volga is not less than its competitors in most of its games, Armenian national football team and Russian Premier League FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod forward Arthur Sarkisov said.
“I believe the problems of Volga and Armenia’s national squad are similar. Both teams play well, but they are not earning points. It’s just that luck is not on our side. The Sarkisov surname is the modified version of the Armenian Sargsyan [surname]. My ancestors had become Sarkisov many years ago, and I didn’t wish to restore the Sargsyan surname,” FC Volga’s official website quotes Arthur Sarkisov as saying.
