KRASNODAR. – Armenian national football team and Russia’s FC Krasnodar forward Yura Movsisyan’s absence affected the outcome of the game, Krasnodar striker Khyzyr Appayev stated after the club’s cup match defeat against FC Kuban of Krasnodar.

“I believe it was an even match. It’s just that success was on Kuban’s side. Movsisyan’s absence was apparent. We can say he is the team’s leader. He scores numerous goals and is of great benefit to the team,” FC Krasnodar’s official website quotes Khyzyr Appayev as saying.

To note, Kuban defeated Krasnodar by a score of 1-0 in the round-of-8 final of the Russian Cup match, and Kuban’s sole goal was scored by the Armenian national football squad’s Brazilian forward, Marcos Pizzelli.
