Miami Open: Defending champion Alcaraz advances to Round of 16

World No. 1 and defending champion Carlos Alcaraz has reached the Round of 16 at the Miami Open.

The Spanish tennis star faced Dusan Lajovic (Serbia) in the Round of 32 and won in two sets—6:0, 7:6 (7:5). The match lasted 1 hour, 32 minutes.

Alcaraz's next opponent will be world No. 19 Tommy Paul (USA), who defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (Spain) in the Round of 32.

The prize fund of the Miami Open is $8.8 million.
