Tottenham sack Conte as manager

Tottenham Hotspur have fired Italian football coach Antonio Conte from the post of manager, the press service of this London club reports.

"We thank Antonio for his contribution and wish him well for the future. Cristian Stellini will take the team as Acting Head Coach for the remainder of the season, along with Ryan Mason as Assistant Head Coach," Tottenham's announcement reads, in particular.

Tottenham are fourth, with 49 points, after 28 games in the current season of the English Premier League. They have not qualified for the UEFA Champions League and the English FA Cup (Football Association Challenge Cup).
