Indian Wells Masters: Women’s world No. 1 out in semifinals

Iga Swiatek, the current world No. 1 in women’s tennis, could not reach the final of Indian Wells Masters.
In the semifinals of this tournament, the Polish tennis player lost to world No. 10 Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) in two sets: 2:6, 2:6.

The match lasted 1 hour and 17 minutes.

Rybakina's opponent in the final will be world No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus), who defeated world No. 7 the Maria Sakkari (Greece) in their semifinal clash.

The total prize fund of the Indian Wells Masters is $8.8 million.
