European Individual Chess Championship: Armenia’s Gabriel Sargissian achieves 3rd win

Gabriel Sargissian, the leader of the Armenian men’s national team, recorded his third win at the European Individual Chess Championship 2023 being held in Serbia. In the fourth round, his opponent was Ido Gorstein (Israel).

Sargissian shares 4th to 26th places, with 3.5 points, in the current standings.

Anton Korobov and Ruslan Ponomariov (Ukraine) as well as Eltaj Safarli (Azerbaijan) are the three current leaders, with 4 points each.

Shant Sargsyan, Samvel Ter-Sahakyan, and Manuel Petrosyan have the second best indicators among the other representatives of Armenia, with 3 points each, and they share the 27th to 93rd places in the current standings.

Eleven rounds will be held at the European Individual Chess Championship.
