Honorary president of Real Madrid dies

Real Madrid honorary president Amancio Amaro passed away at the age of 83, according to the club's press service. 

Amancio Amaro played for Real Madrid from 1962 to 1976, scoring 155 goals in 471 games. 

With Real Madrid, he became nine-time champion of Spain, three-time winner of the national Cup and winner of the European Champions Cup.

Amancio Amaro scored 11 goals in 42 games for the Spanish national team, became European champion in 1964.
