30-40 wrestlers, 25 volleyball players remain under rubble in Turkey

Fourteen players of the women's Hatay volleyball team were left under the rubble in Malatya, Turkey, as a result of the powerful earthquake that hit the country on Monday.

Also in the Malatya Province, 11 players of the Malatya Metropolitan Belediyespor men's volleyball team remained under the rubble of a hotel, Fanatik newspaper reports.

A total of 30 to 40 wrestlers of a wrestling club are being searched for in Kahramanmaras Province; they also have remained under the rubble. 2016 Olympic champion, freestyle wrestler Taha Akgul announced this in a post on social media.

Seven-day mourning has been declared in Turkey, and all sporting events have been suspended in the country.
