Champions League: Aubameyang is left out of Chelsea squad
12:11 4 February, 2023Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not been included in the Chelsea squad list for the UEFA Champions League playoffs.
There can be a maximum of 25 footballers on the list.
In the group stage, Chelsea had announced 24 players for this list. But on of them, Italian midfielder Jorginho, transferred to Arsenal in January.
The remaining three places in the squad have been given to Chelsea newcomers: Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernandez,
Ukrainian midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk, and Portuguese forward Joao Felix.
Chelsea's opponents in the Round of 16 of the Champions League are Borussia Dortmund. The first leg of their clash will take place on March 15 in Germany, and the second leg—on March 7, in England.
