Twenty-two-time Grand Slam champion and the world's number one racquet, Serb Novak Djokovic will be able to participate in the U.S. Open tennis championships this year.

As of May 11, the U.S. Department of Health will lift the entry ban for foreigners who have not been vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to Tennis Majors.

Novak Djokovic was not vaccinated against the coronavirus and was forced to miss two Grand Slam tournaments and four Masters last year.

Djokovic is tied with Spaniard Rafael Nadal for the most Grand Slam titles at the Australian Open.
