Goals by Danish defender Joakim Mæhle and Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman brought victory to Italian Gian Piero Gasperini's team.

Atalanta are tied for third place with Milan (19 games) with 38 points and goes fourth. Sampdoria are penultimate with 9 points.
