Copa del Rey: Bilbao beat Valencia

Athletic Bilbao were hosted by Valencia in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey (Spanish Cup), they won 3-1, and advanced to the semifinals.

In the first two matches of the quarterfinals off this football competition, Barcelona had beaten Real Sociedad 1-0, and Osasuna had defeated Sevilla 2-1 in extra time.
