Adelaide International 1: Khachanov, Djokovic win first matches

Karen Khachanov (Russia) won his first match at the Adelaide International 1 tournament in Australia.

The Muscovite Armenian tennis player beat Pedro Cachin (Argentina) in two sets—6:2, 6:4—at the Round of 32. The match lasted 1 hour and 26 minutes.

Khachanov will compete with the Jack Draper (UK) for a spot to the quarterfinals.

Former world No. 1 Novak Djokovic is also in the Round of 16. The Serbian tennis star defeated Constant Lestienne (France) in two sets—6:3, 6:2—in the first round. 

Djokovic's next opponent will be the Quentin Halys (France).

The prize fund of Adelaide International 1 is $642 thousand.
