Argentina's national team are best team of year

Argentina's football team has been crowned the 2022 FIFA World Cup champion - the best team in the world according to sports journalists who are members of the International Association of Sport Press (AIPS). The team led by Lionel Scaloni received 37 percent of the vote.

Morocco, which reached the semifinals of the World Cup and lost to France 0-2, came in second place.

World vice-champion France are in third place. Fourth are Spanish champion and Champions League winner Real Madrid.
