World Championship: Armenian chess players results after 9 rounds
19:39 27 December, 2022At the ongoing World Rapid Chess Championship in Almaty held games 6-9 rounds.
Armenian representatives Hayk Martirosyan and Manuel Petrosyan scored 6 points each and shared 11-28 places.
Shant Sargsyan, Tigran Petrosyan and Gabriel Sargsyan scored 5.5 points each. Samvel Ter-Sahakyan and Zaven Andriasyan - 5 points each, Mamikon Gharibyan - 4.5 points, Tigran Harutyunyan and Robert Hivhannisyan - 4 points each.
Magnus Carlsen of Norway is the world champion with 7.5 points.
In the women's tournament Elina Danielyan shares the 10th-16th places with 5.5 points. Lilit Mkrtchyan, Mariam Mkrtchyan and Susanna Gaboyan have 4 points each.
