L’Équipe: World Cup 2022 symbolic team

The prestigious French magazine L'Équipe compiled a symbolic World Cup team that included defender Marco Acuña, midfielder Enzo Fernandez and striker Lionel Messi from the players of the Argentine team that won the title.

Goalkeeper: Dominik Livakovic (Croatia/Dinamo Zagreb)

Defenders: Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/PSG), Romain Saiss (Morocco/Besiktas), Josko Gvardiol (Croatia/RB Leipzig), Marco Acuña (Argentina/Sevilla)

Midfielders: Enzo Fernandez (Argentina/Benfica), Sofyan Amrabat (Morocco/Fiorentina), Luka Modric (Croatia/Real Madrid)

Forwards: Bukayo Saka (England/Arsenal), Lionel Messi (Argentina/PSG), Kylian Mbappe (France/PSG)

Morocco first team among the African and Arab teams reached the semifinals of the World Cup and lost to France with a score of 0-2.

In the 1/8 finals, the English national team lost to France with a score of 1-2.

In the semi-finals Croatia team lost to Argentina 0-3, and in the match for third place Morocco was defeated 2-1.

In the final, Argentina beat France on penalties (2-2, 1-1, 11m-4-2).
