Tens of thousands of Argentines in Buenos Aires celebrated the national team's 3-0 victory over Croatia in the World Cup semifinals.
Argentina, a two-time world champion, advanced to the finals for the sixth time and will play the winner of the match between France and Morocco on Sunday.
This World Cup will be the last for the captain of Argentina, 35-year-old striker Lionel Messi.
