World Cup 2022: Argentina vs Croatia starting lineups announced

The starting lineups of Argentina and Croatia for the World Cup semifinal match became known.

Argentina: Emiliano Martinez, Nicolas Otamendi, Cristian Romero, Nahuel Molina, Nicolas Tagliafico, Leandro Paredes, Rodrigo de Paul, Enzo Fernandez, Alexis Mac Allister, Lionel Messi, Julian Alvarez. 

Croatia: Dominik Livakovic, Ivan Perisic, Dejan Lovren, Mateo Kovacic, Kramaric, Luka Modric, Marcelo Brozovic, Mario Pasalic, Borna Sosa, Josko Gvardiol, Juranovic. 

The Argentina-Croatia match will begin at 23:00 Yerevan time. The winner of the Argentina-Croatia pairing will play the winner of the match between world champions France and Morocco in the final. The game will take place tomorrow.

The final will be held on Sunday, the match for third place on Saturday.

In the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar, the national team of Argentina sensationally lost 1-2 to Saudi Arabia, defeating Poland (2-0) and Mexico (2-0).

The Croatian national team in the group stage played a draw with Morocco (0-0) and Belgium (0-0) and defeated Canada 4-1.

In the 1/8 finals Argentina defeated Australia 2-1, and in the quarterfinals the Netherlands were beaten 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out. The main time ended with the score 2-2.

The Croatian national team knocked Japan out of the competition in the 1/8 finals, defeating Japan in a penalty shootout 3-1. The main and extra time of the match ended with the score 1-1.

In the quarterfinals, the Croats knocked out the Brazilians. The main time ended 0-0, extra time 1-1. In the penalty shootout Croatia won 4-2.
