Croatia will play in World Cup semifinals for third time

The Croatian national football team reached the semifinals of the World Cup for the third time in history and for the second time in a row.

In the quarterfinals of the championship in Qatar, the vice world champions beat five-time world champion Brazil 4-2 on penalties. The main time ended 0-0, with extra time ending 1-1.

Croatia reached the World Cup semifinals for the first time in 1998 and for the second time in 2018.

Croatia will face the winner of the Netherlands vs Argentina match for a place in the final.
