Son Heung-min, who underwent surgery, will be able to participate in World Cup 2022
18:46 9 November, 2022Tottenham London midfielder Son Heung-min, 30, will be eligible to play for South Korea at the World Cup that begins Nov. 20 in Qatar. Son Heung-min underwent eye surgery after being injured in the last round of the Champions League group stage on Nov. 5.
Son Heung-min wrote on social media, he's looking forward to representing his country's national team at the World Cup.
Son Heung-min has played in 19 games for Tottenham this season, scoring five goals and two assists.
South Korea will face Uruguay, Ghana and Portugal in the group stage of the World Cup. The South Koreans will play their first match on November 24 against the team of Uruguay.
