European Championship U-20: Rafik Minasyan is bronze medalist

The Armenian weightlifting team won its first medal at the European Under-20 and Under-23 championships. Armenian representative Rafik Minasyan won a bronze medal in the under-20 weight category with 256 kg at the championship in Durres, Albania.

Garnik Cholakyan, 2022 World Youth Champion, failed at the European Championships. In the under 20, 55 kg category, the world champion got zero. Cholakyan recorded a result of 107 kg in the snatch exercise, failed all three approaches in the push-up exercise.

The second Armenian representative in the same weight class Seyran Khudanyan did not win any medals either. He lifted 97 kg, 120 kg push-up and finished the competition with 217 kg in the sixth place.
