San Diego Open: World No. 1 Iga Swiatek is in semifinals

Iga Swiatek, who is currently ranked world No. 1 by the Women's Tennis Association, has reached the semifinals of the San Diego Open.

Swiatek (Poland), 21, faced world No. 8 Coco Gauff  (USA), 18, in the quarterfinals of this tournament, and won in two sets—6:0, 6:3.

The match lasted 1 hour and 6 minutes.

Swiatek’s opponent in the semifinals, will be world No. 6 Jessica Pegula (USA).

The prize fund of the San Diego Open is $757 thousand.
