Japan wins six gold medals at World Judo Championships

The World Judo Championship ended with a big advantage of the Japanese team in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent. The Japanese won 6 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals. They won two gold medals in the men's competition, three gold medals in the women's competition and one gold medal in the mixed team competition.

Second place in the medal standings went to the Brazilian team, which won 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal.

Uzbekistan team took the first place with 2 gold medals.

Armenia was not represented at this championship.
