World Cup 2030: Ukraine joins Spain and Portugal in joint bid
18:23 5 October, 2022Ukraine joined the joint bid of Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup, the press services of the Spanish and Portuguese football federations reported.
"I'm convinced that now our bid is much better than before. Football is universal and if it is capable of changing the life of people in so many ways it should also be used for doing good," said Luis Rubiales, president of the Spanish Football Federation.
Egypt, Greece and Saudi Arabia, as well as Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile submitted a joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup.
