Nations League: Turkey lose unexpectedly to Faroe Islands

Turkey suffered an unexpected defeat in the last round of Group I in League C of the UEFA Nations League.

The Turks lost 1-2 to the Faroe Islands in their away game.

In the other match of this group, Luxembourg beat Lithuania 1-0 at home.Turkey (13 points), however, had clinched first place in Group I and a spot at League B in the previous round.

Luxembourg finished second, with 11 points, and Faroe Islands came in third, with 8 points.

Lithuania took the last place, with just 1 point, and relegated to League C.
