15:12 23 September, 2022Manchester United had the highest wage bill in English Premier League history. Last fiscal year, the Manchester club paid 384.2 million pounds of wages, reports The Guardian. Compared to the previous year, the payroll increased by 61.6 million pounds.
It is linked with the move of Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo, English midfielderJadon Sancho and French defender Raphael Varane. Brazilian midfielder Casemiro joined the team this summer.
In the Premier League, the previous record for this figure belonged to Manchester City - £355 million.
