World Championship: Hrachya Poghosyan will fight for bronze medal, beautiful victory of Gevorg Gharibyan

Gevorg Gharibyan (60 kg) got off to a flying start at the Greco-Roman wrestling world championships in Serbia. The 2020 European champion defeated two-time European champion Pridon Abuladze of Georgia in 1/16 finals.

Gharibyan's opponent in the 1/8 finals will be Kazakhstan's Aidos Sultangali.

Another Armenian representative David Ovasapyan (130 kg) lost in 1/16 finals 1:1. His opponent was Colton Michael Schultz (USA).

Hrachya Poghosyan (63 kg) will compete for the bronze medal. Two-time European vice-champion, Azerbaijani Taleh Mammadov will be his rival.

Previously, Malkhas Amoyan (77 kg) won the bronze medal.
