US Open: Karen Khachanov does not make it to final

The 26-year-old Muscovite Armenian tennis player faced world No. 7 Casper Ruud (Norway), 23, in the semifinals, but lost in four sets. The match lasted 3 hours and 3 minutes.
Ruud's opponent in the final will be the winner of the semifinal clash between world No. 4 of Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) and world No. 26 Frances Tiafoe (USA)..
Casper Ruud will become the new world No. 1 if he wins this tournament, or Alcaraz loses in the semifinals.
The prize fund of the US Open is $60 million.
