US Open: Medvedev eliminated, to lose World No. 1 spot as well

The Russian tennis star, who won this tournament last year, lost to Nick Kyrgios (Australia) in four sets. Also, after the US Open, Medvedev will lose his No. 1 spot in the world rankings.
Karen Khachanov (Russia), on the other hand, has reached the US Open quarterfinals for the first time. In the Round of 16, the Muscovite Armenian tennis player beat Pablo Carreno Busta (Spain) in five sets.
The match lasted 3 hours and 23 minutes. Kyrgios will be Khachanov's opponent in the quarterfinals. The prize fund of the US Open is $60 million.
